The Alliance for Automotive Innovation Political Action Committee (PAC) is a vital component of the association’s federal government relations. The Alliance for Automotive Innovation PAC supports candidates for federal office interested in the Alliance for Automotive Innovations’ mission to propel unprecedented innovation that will define a cleaner, safer, smarter future for personal mobility.

Executive or administrative employees of the Alliance for Automotive Innovation and their families are eligible to contribute to the Alliance for Automotive Innovation PAC.

Member PACs and members employees are also eligible as follows:

Federal law requires the Alliance for Automotive Innovation PAC to obtain authorization from member corporations before soliciting the corporation’s executive and administrative personnel, stockholders and their families. Only an authorized representative of the member corporation may authorize solicitations. Further, a member corporation may not allow solicitations by the Alliance for Automotive Innovation PAC if the member corporation has authorized solicitations by another trade association PAC within the same calendar year.

You can contribute to the Alliance for Automotive Innovation PAC through credit card and check. Credit card is the most convenient and effective way for you to contribute. It helps the Alliance for Automotive Innovation PAC anticipate how much money will be available for contributions to political candidates. Consistent with the mission of the Alliance for Automotive Innovation PAC, contributions will support candidates, including incumbent members of Congress, who are currently and likely to remain an emerging or key voice in policy development related to vital auto industry issues including, but not limited to:

  • Electric vehicle deployment and adoption
  • Autonomous vehicle testing and deployment
  • Data access
  • Vehicle safety and technology deployment and regulation

Priority will be placed on supporting members of Congress on key committees, in leadership and from auto states. Support could be to a member of Congress’ PAC or their Leadership PAC depending on their election cycle.

The Board of Directors is made up of representatives of the Alliance for Automotive Innovation governing members as appointed by their respective companies. These individuals meet quarterly to analyze the political landscape and provide counsel to the Alliance for Automotive Innovations’ leadership team about which candidates to support.

Auto Innovators donates an amount equal to your PAC contribution to a 501(c)(3) charity; you will be able to select from a group of charities identified by your employer. This pay it forward program is for PAC donations of $1000 or more in a calendar year and the amount matched will not exceed $5000 per calendar year, in accordance with the FEC maximum contribution to a PAC. This added benefit for Innovator Club and Pioneer Club members recognizes their leadership and allows for those contributors to support organizations that make a positive difference in the community.
